I have to share with you all about my latest book signing that I did in March. It was so much fun. There were a lot of children and their parents there at the book signing and I sold some of my book to some very excited kids. You may not think that in March someone would buy a book about Christmas, but they did. I was so very happy. too.
Boy! I just had a thought? If you continue doing wonderfully in school, reading and learning all you can, I am sure that I will see your names on some books that you’ve written, too. That’s exciting. In fact I know that you all will write books and that you’ll share them with others. Your books don’t have to be like mine, but they have to come from your heart, remember that. One day, I’ll be able to come to your book signing and buy a specially autographed copy of your book. I am looking forward to that. Until next time remember: READING OPENS UP THE WORLD TO YOU!
Well, I had a wonderful time at my book signing and reading Junior Rabbit Learns About Christmas at an elementary school in a suburb of Detroit. You can see some of the pics below. I had a wonderful time and so did the children. In case you don’t know it, that’s me in the elf outfit. We had loads of fun. I told you that reading is a lot of fun especially when you get together with others and have a reading party. I want you to see how much fun I had and enjoy the pictures. Have a wonderful and fun and safe Merry Christmas and a beautiful New Year.
I am always talking to you about how wonderful it is to read, because reading opens up the world to you. I became a business woman for many years, then I was a special needs teacher for a lot of years. Well, between me and you, special need is my passion. I want as many as I can reach to know that special needs means inclusion, not exclusion.
I want to share with you that tonight, Friday, November 4, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. EST I will have my debut internet radio show on PJC Media Broadcasting. I will have as my guest host, Tammy Morris of Autism Alliance of Michigan. Join me and be live with us as we discuss this very important and often overlooked topic of Autism.
Please don’t ever stop reading and learning and discovering. You will be so glad that you continued getting good grades in school and you’ll realize that without it you may not have seen your dreams come true. I look forward to being happy with you, too, about your dreams coming true. I hope you join me tonight.
Well, it’s been a real fun Summer for me and I know it’s been a real fun Summer for you, too. Now the fall season is coming and with it comes back to school. Are you excited to get back to school? I sure hope so. You’ll see some of your friends that you’ve missed over the Summer and you’ll meet new friends. That’s great.
I have one thing that I want each of you to do this school semester. I want you to do it on purpose, too. Make friends with a special needs student at your school. Just like you laugh and talk with your other friends, laugh and talk with someone who is special needs.Sit at lunch with that student, too. Be a good friend to that student. Call them on the phone, go to their birthday parties, visit them, and let them visit you just like everyone else. You’ll have gained a new friend and possibly a friend for life. So, now that you have your assignment from me, get in school and excel. I know you can! Talk to you later.
