DO YOU HAVE A GOOD CAUSE?

Hi Guys,

It’s me Jenny. Whew… it has been a very busy first month and a half of the new year. But it has been fun, too. I’ve been writing another Junior Rabbit book for all of you to get and read.  But I want to ask you about something today.

Is there something that you really feel excited about? I means something that makes you want to do a good deed for others. I read an article one time and there was a young girl, about your ages, and along with her mother they went out into the streets and gave people who don’t have anywhere to live, the homeless, things to use. They gave them combs and soap and toothpaste and toothbrushes and small towels to help themselves out. What that young girl did is called “A Cause.” The definition of this kind of cause is: “the reason or motive for some human action.”  In the case of the young girl giving out toiletries to homeless persons, her reason was to help ease their pain and make them feel just a little better until they can get back on their feet. Wow! that young girl was brave and caring, wasn’t she?  Look at her video below.

Well, I know that you, too, have a cause or something exciting to do for someone else. Have you ever thought of going to the library and reading to a group of younger children? Have you ever considered becoming a great friend to a special needs boy or girl? Have you ever thrown a party for an older person who is alone?  Those are just a few of the causes you can think about. Hey, but you might have your own cause. Do that with the help of mom and dad. I am sure you’ll make this world just a little better. I got confidence in you.

Okay guys, I’ll check with you next time. If you have a cause please let me know about it. I want to feature it on my blog. Let’s do our part. Oh yes, and when you’re tired of that video game or when you finish your chores and have time, keep it simple and read a book.

REMEMBERING THE BRAVE….CHILDREN

Hello guys, it’s me Jenny.  I was thinking about Memorial Day and all those who have protected us in America with their own lives.  Wow, I appreciate them and I really love them.  We can talk to each other and go places because of them.

I want you to look at the picture below.  It’s of some kids just like you.  They lived in 1865.  The one holding the flag is in the lead and they are honoring, saying ‘Thank You’ to some soldiers who died a long time ago.  Now, you know that kids in every age can be good patriots, too.  Just like you.  Ask  mom and dad about Memorial Day if you need to.  They’ll tell you that it’s a time when the entire country remembers men and women who fought in wars for our great country so that we can be free.  Do you want to honor them?  Then make it the best life you can and help others.  Talk to you soon.
