Hi Guys,
I love the Thanksgiving season, because it helps me to look over my life and see that I am blessed a whole lot. I know that if I have a house to live in and it’s got a bed and some food and I have clothes to wear and shoes to put on then I am blessed. In the winter when it’s coldest, I have heat in my house and warm pajamas to put on, and a nice cup of hot chocolate to drink while I read my favorite story on my phone or tablet or I have a real book in my hands, then I am thankful. Very thankful.
So, as this Thanksgiving season begins don’t forget to show thankfulness and thank God for all your blessings. Also, pray that God will bless other families who don’t have what you have. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
Here’s a history of Thanksgiving:
Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday in the United States, and Thanksgiving 2018 occurs on Thursday, November 22. In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November.

Hi Guys,
My friend Book man is here to talk to you.
Hi there fellow readers. If there is one really good habit that we should have, it the habit of reading. The Library is the best place to be. If you go to the library, you’ll see people sitting reading the newspapers and even magazines. You’ll see people buying older books and even videos to take home and watch.
Now you might say, but I have an iPad or a tablet or a cell phone. THAT’S GREAT! You can read on your tablet and phone, too. I know one thing for sure. Whatever you do, and even if you are at home, take your phone and pull up a story, download it and read it. Guys, remember reading opens up the world to you. So, LET’S ROCK!
Hi Guys,
Sunday, November 11, 2018 is Veterans Day. Here’s a brief history of Veterans Day:
Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and Nov. 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938. Unlike Memorial Day, Veterans Day pays tribute to all American veterans—living or dead—but especially gives thanks to living veterans who served their country honorably during war or peacetime.
Veterans Day occurs on November 11 every year in the United States.
So, be grateful and thankful for all the men and women who serve our great country. Pray for them and their families, too.
Talk to you later,
Jenny

Well guys,
I know that some of you will be going to school by the end of this month of August and some will be back in school right after Labor Day in September. Whatever the date, it’s time to pull out that old backpack from last semester and see what you can take into your new semester. Let’s see how to help mom and dad out this year:
If you do all of that then when you ask them for that expensive pair of gym shoes, you just might get them.

Hi Guys,
Well, it’s April, and we’re all hoping for a wonderful spring season. You know how I am always telling you to make sure you read daily for at least 20 minutes. But guess what, I’m going to ask you to do something else. It will help you and help Mom and Dad, too. It’s called SPRING CLEANING! Now don’t go “Oh Boy, really!?” There’s a lot of fun in cleaning up around the house and especially in your room. When you move the bed, the dresser or open the closet and begin to clean your room real good here’s what will happen:
I told you, spring cleaning isn’t bad at all. So, hop to it. Tomorrow is Saturday, a great day to get started spring cleaning that room. When you get a little tired, sit down and keep it simple and read a book for 20 minutes. Then get back to cleaning.
