I love this picture because it shows a little kid, laughing and very happy. She’s excited about her life, even though she is in a wheelchair. That’s great isn’t it. Just like you and me she likes reading, video games, her own cell phone, ice cream, the movies, sports and more. I am sure she likes to have a couple of really good friends to sit at lunch with her in the lunch room and call her and just to have fun with.
In fact we all like those things. So, the next time while you’re in school or at the mall or outside playing or even at the community swimming pool and you see a special child, whether in a wheel chair or walking with braces on his or her legs or maybe even unable to communicate regular, like we know it, think to yourself: “Hey, there’s someone who might be a really good friend to me and I can be a really good friend to him or her.”
Let me tell you, special friends are the best. Talk to you later.
