DON’T STOP NOW!

Reading does indeed open up the world to you. So don’t stop reading now. If you go to the library to read, take time and read in your bedroom, or in the living room in the big chair, keep on reading. Don’t stop reading now, keep it up.  Look at some of my friends reading and participating in school. They know the importance of reading.

GOOD STUDY HABITS ARE FOR WINNERS!

getting-organized

Hi Guys,

Well, it’s been a few weeks since school has started and I am sure that there has been some homework and projects given to you already. I just have a question. Has it been hard to get back into the study mode since the summer is over? I can understand that. Here’s a couple of tips to get you back into the good habits you had in school that got you those high test scores and good grades at card markings:

  1. When you get home from school, if you have any homework or reading do it immediately, because you’ve been in school and study mode already for the day. Keep it up and soon, you’ll be finished with your work and can relax and do other things.
  2. Keep a list of your school work on a white board or a cork board in your room or even on the refrigerator at home. That way you won’t forget important work that has to be turned in.
  3. Make going to the library part of your week or weekend. It keeps your mind working well and you will be at the right place to get the answers you need.
  4. You’re not too young for this next tip: Keep a list of all of your daily activities and check them off as you complete them.  (get ready for school the night before, make your lunch and put in the fridge, get your instrument and backpack ready and put them where you won’t forget them in the morning; get your gym clothing and shoes cleaned and ready for  physical ed.)  All of these things will get you back into the right mode of studying and organization. And you can’t help but be a winner! Talk to you later.

BACK IN SCHOOL!

e786fc_a985a745383844ba922b7c936c6a78b1

Hi again Guys,

How’s the first week of school going? Getting used to carrying backpacks again and sitting in class learning?  I sure hope so.

Now remember, school is the place that prepares you for the great accomplishments you will do in your life. Accomplishments like being the first astronaut to reach the planet Mars; coming up with the cure for all kinds of diseases, becoming leaders in the world, inventing things to make life better for so many other people. So, take school seriously while still having fun. Pick up your books and tablets and read and do your assignments and you’ll find out that when you get to college, your study habits will be so good.

Just think, your education will further open up a world of possibilities for you. So, keep swinging at those lessons, papers, homework assignments and tests. The world is at your fingertips.

FIRST ASSIGNMENT FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR

emergingtechwordlecloud

Hi Guys,

Well, it’s been a real fun Summer for me and I know it’s been a real fun Summer for you, too. Now the fall season is coming and with it comes back to school. Are you excited to get back to school? I sure hope so. You’ll see some of your friends that you’ve missed over the Summer and you’ll meet new friends. That’s great.

I have one thing that I want each of you to do this school semester. I want you to do it on purpose, too. Make friends with a special needs student at your school. Just like you laugh and talk with your other friends, laugh and talk with someone who is special needs.Sit at lunch with that student, too. Be a good friend to that student. Call them on the phone, go to their birthday parties, visit them, and let them visit you just like everyone else. You’ll have gained a new friend and possibly a friend for life. So, now that you have your assignment from me, get in school and excel. I know you can!  Talk to you later.

DON’T FORGET TO REMEMBER WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED!

Hi Guys,

Well, it won’t be long until the Summer vacation is here.  How many of you did great in school?  What I mean is how many of you got A’s and  B’s in  your classes.  I hope all of you did.  But I want to tell you something, please, please, please take time and get to the Library where  you can check out at least one book on let’s say, social studies and read it, so that you’ll be able to keep up when you get back in school.  Here’s a little quiz for you all.  If you need to, ask Mom and Dad or big brother or big sister to help you with it.  Send the answers back to me in the comment section below and I’ll check it for you.

  1. What city do  you live in?
  2. How old is the city that you live in? (you can find out this answer at the Library)
  3. What state do you live in?
  4. What county do you live in?
  5. Do you like the Library?
