It’s me, Jenny! WHEW! It has been a whirlwind of activity with me for the last few months. I mean, I really missed you guys. But today, I am glad to say that I can catch up with all of you and find out what you are doing.
I sure hope school is going well. Can you believe that there are only about 4 or 5 weeks left until Summer vacation? Okay. I can hear a lot of you shouting YAYYYYY!! And there is nothing wrong with wishing for Summer vacation. Besides you all deserve it. You’ve worked so hard in school getting those A’s and B’s. So you deserve a break.
I just want you to remember one thing: While you are planning your summer always make plans to read 20 minutes a day. Yep, read every day. And please if you have little brothers and sisters or little nieces and nephews or just little kids in the neighborhood, please get a book and read to them, as well. Babies even love to hear your voices as you read Dr. Seuss’ Green Eggs and Ham or my books, A Surprise for Junior, Loony the Loon and the Littered Lake or Junior Rabbit Learns About Christmas. Believe me guys, when you read you learn about this world and all the wonderful things in it.
Oops, I gotta go. I am writing another book to be published later this year. I sure hope you guys will read my books. Talk to you later,
Well, I had a wonderful time at my book signing and reading Junior Rabbit Learns About Christmas at an elementary school in a suburb of Detroit. You can see some of the pics below. I had a wonderful time and so did the children. In case you don’t know it, that’s me in the elf outfit. We had loads of fun. I told you that reading is a lot of fun especially when you get together with others and have a reading party. I want you to see how much fun I had and enjoy the pictures. Have a wonderful and fun and safe Merry Christmas and a beautiful New Year.
I am so excited! So, if you are local, I would love to see you there. I would make sure you get a personal autographed copy of the book, when you purchase it. We could even take pictures together.
Here’s the information about my book signings. Oh yes, before I forget, make sure you are reading every day between 15 and 20 minutes. Remember, too, that reading opens up the world to you. Gotta go guys!

It’s been a couple of years since we’ve been having fun on this blog, talking about everything from reading opens up the world, to special needs kids and good study habits. It is my passion always to make everyone realize that kids are kids no matter what. I think I told you that I am a retired special education teacher. And I want you to know that I am now going to have an internet radio program beginning in November. I hope you guys and your parents get a chance to listen in from time to time. I mean you can even call in and ask questions of my guests and me and you all can also make comments. I want to hear from all of you, I really do.
“Say hello 2 the next radio host on WPJC 104.5 streaming live on the internet in November.”
Guess what else? My new book is coming out in November, 2016 it’s about Junior Rabbit and it’s entitled Junior Rabbit Learns About Christmas. You can get it in November on Amazon.com.
This is Bookman. I haven’t been here for a while because I have been reading and helping others during this beautiful summer season to get the fever for reading. In fact, we heard that Jenny had a reading party with some of her friends. Well, when we heard about that, we said we wanted to have a reading party, too.
So, I got with Junior Rabbit and he got with some of his friends and before we knew it, lots of guys and gals were reading and having fun doing it. See, if you like to read and enjoy reading to others, before long, a lot of others will catch on, too. I gotta go, but remember to keep it simple (AND FUN) read a book! Check out the readers below.
Here are two of my books that I wrote. Mom and Dad can get them on Amazon.com
Boy, oh boy! The Library is a fun place to spend a day. Why they have hundreds of books for toddlers, and elementary school students, teens and adults. I went there a couple of days myself and I got a book and went into the reading room. There were so many kids and adults just sitting around reading. They have a computer room, where you can get on the computer and do lots of things, like check your email and write letters and you can print them out.
They even have some authors who wrote children’s books come and sit with the kids on certain days and read the books they written and have a good fun talk with the kids. I had the chance to go and read my book to some librarians one day. I was so excited! If you are looking for answers to some questions you need answered, go to the library and ask the librarians to help you out. They are the best at helping anyone find what they need.
Ask Mom and Dad to make it part of your summer vacation to take a trip to the library so you can enjoy all the music, books, movies and other fun activities they have. See you there. Remember, reading opens the world up to you. Talk to you later.
Hi guys, I’m Junior Rabbit, Jenny friend. I do a lot of things with my friends. We play soccer, tag, tell each other stories and other things. We do all of our activities outside. But there is one thing that I really want to share with you that you can do outside or inside: YOU CAN READ!
Now just before you say that reading isn’t fun, think about this. When you read you can enter right into the story that you are reading. You can be on the sidelines looking at the story as it unfolds, or you can be the one telling the story as you read, you can even become a participant in the story! What I am saying is that you can see yourself riding on the stagecoach as it crosses the country to take you west to cattle country. Why you can even hide out on a ship as it crosses the ocean to go to a distant land. You can imagine yourself helping to rescue someone from danger in the pages of a book. You can be the king or the princess or the brave soldier who slays a dragon and saves a village! Boy, oh boy, when you read the world opens up to you. So, make sure to visit the world this summer in the pages of a book at your local library.
The book that I’m reading now is about my friend Loony. He’s having a time helping our other friends out because people have put so much garbage in the lake where they all live. Oh, gotta go guys, Loony needs my help.
