Have you been having fun so far this summer. I am sure that many of you have already been to the park, on picnics, on vacation visiting family and friends, in the house on rainy days playing board games, and just outside romping and playing. That’s great! I have been doing those things, too.
Just remember that all year around the library is open and full of fun books, cds and dvds that you can take home and enjoy. So, remember that if you want to increase your learning, keep it simple and read a book.
This is my friend Jean. She loves to read. Just look at her go. Hey, make going to the Library and reading 20 minutes a day part of your summer vacation.
Just as we have talked about littering, pollution, recycling and reading, I want you guys to know that in order for us to stay our healthiest, we have to do something, too—EXERCISE. It’s nice to have a video game to play with, but that doesn’t get your body revving and in shape. Here are some ways to play and have fun:
Soccer, football, basketball, walking, running/jogging, hoola-hooping, throwing a ball, riding your bike, swimming. All of this keeps you in great shape, plus drink lots of water.
Oh my goodness! I gotta get up now and go walking myself. Talk to you real soon. Look at the pictures of other kids exercising while they are having fun!
