Well, it’s been a few weeks since school has started and I am sure that there has been some homework and projects given to you already. I just have a question. Has it been hard to get back into the study mode since the summer is over? I can understand that. Here’s a couple of tips to get you back into the good habits you had in school that got you those high test scores and good grades at card markings:
- When you get home from school, if you have any homework or reading do it immediately, because you’ve been in school and study mode already for the day. Keep it up and soon, you’ll be finished with your work and can relax and do other things.
- Keep a list of your school work on a white board or a cork board in your room or even on the refrigerator at home. That way you won’t forget important work that has to be turned in.
- Make going to the library part of your week or weekend. It keeps your mind working well and you will be at the right place to get the answers you need.
- You’re not too young for this next tip: Keep a list of all of your daily activities and check them off as you complete them. (get ready for school the night before, make your lunch and put in the fridge, get your instrument and backpack ready and put them where you won’t forget them in the morning; get your gym clothing and shoes cleaned and ready for physical ed.) All of these things will get you back into the right mode of studying and organization. And you can’t help but be a winner! Talk to you later.
